In May, CASA was appointed on four new cases, with a total of eight new children, from the age of four months old to 10 years old. Three of the children remained with their parent while supports and services were put into place and the rest of the children were removed from the parent and placed with a family member or friend. CASA was able to successfully close two cases both with stable placement with family members and also to support four children who were returned to their parents’ care in trial home passes. CASA staff attended 27 Child and Family Team Meetings and 27 court hearings (coincidentally) and completed 15 home or school visits with children not currently served by an advocate. No two days are the same and it’s never dull!
